Ingredients
- ½ cup [170 g] honey
- ½ cup [120 ml] sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp salt
- Ice cubes
- ¼ cup [60 ml] silver tequila
- 2 Tbsp Grand Marnier
- 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
How to Make It
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, condensed milk, salt, and 1 cup [240 ml] of water. Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until well blended. Remove the syrup from the heat and cool to room temperature. Leftover syrup can be stored, refrigerated, for up to 2 months. To Make the Margarita
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, Grand Marnier, lime juice, and 2 oz plus 1 Tbsp [90 ml] of the syrup (or start with ¼ cup [60 ml] syrup, if you like a tart margarita). Shake enthusiastically until frothy and well chilled, and strain into an ice-filled highball or margarita glass. Serve immediately.
